Key focus will also be placed on extending mobility solutions to field workers. Transfield Services runs its extensive operations using SAP ERP software, including SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse, CRM, NetWeaver Portal, Solution Manager and SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (PI) modules. SAP is so mission-critical to operations that Transfield Services has consolidated all of its business processes into SAP applications over the years, with the SAP application suite running all of Transfield Service’s core business operations today. To help ensure high availability of more than eight terabytes of SAP data, Transfield Services moved its SAP infrastructure onto a two-node geographically dispersed cluster — in which the cluster nodes are located in different buildings, approximately 12 kilometres apart — to protect against a single-site catastrophe, several years ago. The global organisation strategically uses technology to support and enable business growth. ICT investment over the previous 12 months, including ERP, CRM, virtualisation, VoIP, mobility and business continuity/disaster recovery will continue throughout 2012. FMIS, knowledge management, business intelligence and social media are new to project plans this year.
