IT manager David Morrison says significant improvements are to be expected in the supply chain as a result of the integration of back office support services to Woolworths’ shared services platform.

Progressive Enterprises operates the Foodtown, Wool-worths and Countdown supermarket groups. The company employs approximately 19,000 people nationwide within 149 supermarkets trading under the Countdown, Foodtown and Woolworths banners, 22 Woolworths Quickstop and Micro convenience stores, several meat processing plants, warehouse operations and support offices. Progressive is also the franchise co-ordinator for the Fresh Choice and SuperValue franchise banner groups.

Progressive Enterprises continues to work closely with Woolworths Ltd in Australia (the owner of Progressive).
