IT service firms like Accenture relish the challenge of helping enterprises reduce IT costs, meet shorter turnaround deadlines on projects and deliver more rapid investment returns.

The company is undergoing major organisational and leadership changes to consolidate its core business, enter new areas and realign for future growth.

It has refocused on management consulting, technology and business process outsourcing and is investing in health care, analytics, digital services, mobility and emerging technologies.

Accenture’s management software is designed to bring business processes and disciplines together.

Its orderless Workplace initiative, for example, uses unified communications, customised search and content management and multimedia collaboration tools. It’s big on collaboration, working with clients to enhance business performance, and is the only systems integrator with innovation centres on Oracle campuses in Japan, Turkey, the United States and Britain.
