Like most of the business world, Fuji Xerox saw a decline in revenue this past year. Revenue fell almost 10 per cent in fiscal 2008 from ¥1203.2 billion a year earlier. The company’s executives, like many of their counterparts elsewhere in the technology sector, have redoubled their efforts in areas of corporate social responsibility and sustainable computing and document management practices.

It can be argued the company’s pursuit of the latter also delivers major cost savings and heightened efficiencies to its customers.

Fuji Xerox announced the launch of its Eco Solution strategies in early September that are available on its website alongside its Eco Office Evaluator and Carbon Calculator Demo, with all of them designed to help
enterprises run greener businesses.

Most recently, the company launched a global programme for its employees to make a social contribution in the area of biodiversity protection. Teng Fang Yih
