HTC has continued to pelt the mobile market with new products in 2009, updating its Touch Pro and Touch Diamond smartphones. Rumours abound about the launch of the Leo, which has been pre-empted by leaked preview shots, first seen on a Polish website.

The newest offering from HTC runs on the Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system and its Touch HD2 will be one of the first in the world to run the new Windows Mobile 6.5 OS - after Microsoft’s own line of phones, of course.
One of the main selling points of Windows 6.5 is a refined user interface, but HTC has layered its TouchFLO software over the backbone system to make the touch screen easier to navigate.

In a definite push to stake its claim to the corporate space, new model HTC smartphones will also offer capabilities for receiving corporate push email.

The company has recently enlisted the services of Discretix for beefed-up content security. Rachael Bolton
