New GM of technology appointed at ANZ National

Craig Bunyan has been promoted to the new role, reporting to COO Craig Sims

Craig Bunyan has been appointed as the new general manager of technology at ANZ National, according to the banking group. Bunyan is no stranger to ANZ National, having worked as the programme director for its Payments Enablement Programme (PEP) for the last 18 months.

According to ANZ National, Bunyan has had a similar role at ASB Bank, where he was the general manager of technology solutions. Bunyan has also worked in consulting roles at Air New Zealand, TelstraClear, The Warehouse, and Transpower.

Craig Sims, chief operating office at ANZ National, says Bunyan’s previous work experience and familiarity with the industry will help ANZ National towards key technology goals in the near future.

“We are changing the way we do things to make us more efficient for our customers and our staff, and Craig brings the outstanding skills and experience necessary to lead the charge on the technology side of this,” says Sims.

Bunyan’s appointment is effective as of May 28.
