Renaissance’s chief executive officer Richard Webb has resigned, the company has announced.
According to a statement, Webb has resigned to “focus on his technology incubation businesses”.
“Rick has steered Renaissance through an extremely difficult 2011 financial year. He has overseen the introduction of a second Apple distributor and had to deal with the significant impacts of the Christchurch earthquake on the company. Rick also rebranded all the non-distribution activities of the company under the one brand – Yoobee,” chairman Colin Giffney said in a statement issued today.
“The board acknowledges Rick’s strategic direction through an extremely challenging period in the company’s history. The board believes a base has been established on which the company can grow,” Giffney added.
The news comes shortly after the announcement of Warwick Grey’s departure from the company, amid rumours of instability within Renaissance.
