Brazil port goes for Jade's specialist logistics software

Port of Recife will use Master Terminal to streamline operations.

Gulftainer, one of the largest privately owned port operators in the world, has chosen Jade logistics software Master Terminal to streamline its Port of Recife operations in Brazil. The Port of Recife is the logistics hub for the capital of the state of Pernambuco in north eastern Brazil and the centre of a busy industrial area.

Gulftainer will operate a berth at Port of Recife and use Jade’s Master Terminal TOS to handle 50,000 containers and 200,000 tons of cargo per year.

Jade says this is its third deal with Gulftainer, for the supply of Master Terminal TOS. The software is already in use in Ruwais in Abu Dhabi and Umm Qasr in Iraq.

The current deal will be Jade’s first project in South America.

Jade’s port software is also used in Italy, Georgia, United Arab Emirates and Poland.
