Genesis Energy has signed a five year IT managed services contract with Dimension Data, replacing Gen-i as its outsource provider. The contract includes Dimension Data’s support service (Uptime) and service management offering (Insite) for the energy retailer’s nationwide corporate IT environment.
“We selected Dimension Data as they have proven experience in high availability retail environments and were able to tailor a service delivery framework that fits our needs today, gives us control over our customer experience and can flex and scale to support our future,” says Sheridan Broadbent, general manager people and transformation for Genesis Energy, in a press statement.
Chris Robb, IT services manager for Genesis Energy, says the energy sector is going through unprecedented change as competition increases and customers seek more control and better value from their energy purchases.
“By wishing to remain the most preferred provider of energy and the most customer focused, it is important to us to select service partners who offer a flexible supplier engagement model,” says Robb.
