Jade Software’s Joob Mobile has been announced as one of three finalists in the mobile/wireless category of the Best of Microsoft Tech Ed North America awards. “This is a tremendous accolade for Joob Mobile, which is on the leading edge of mobile innovation in one of the world’s fastest growing markets. With smart mobile devices expected to surpass one billion by 2013, JOOB combines and connects any business system to any mobile device, enabling staff and consumers to be more productive,” says Craig Richardson, managing director of Jade Software. “Microsoft New Zealand is excited JOOB Mobile is receiving the worldwide recognition it deserves as a Best of Tech Ed North America finalist – against some pretty stiff international competition,” comments Microsoft New Zealand’s managing director Paul Muckleston. “It’s great to see a seasoned New Zealand technology company continuing a long history of innovation and taking the lead in the increasingly pivotal mobile space,” he adds. Joob Mobile’s beta released happened a mere two weeks before the announcement from Tech Ed North America. “The chance to showcase at Microsoft Tech-Ed North America where the best of the world’s ICT companies and major users are congregating will assist with JOOB Mobile’s push into the US market. We couldn’t have wished for a better start for JOOB Mobile,” says Richardson.
Winners will be announced on May 18. Joob Mobile’s co-finalists in the mobile/wireless category are Odyssey Athena for Configuration Manager 5.0 and Symantec Mobile Management.
