The CFOs of a number of Waikato-based companies recently arrived in the office to find a bizarre surprise on their desks: a while plastic arm and leg anchored to a blue board.
The attention-grabbing campaign came from Hamilton IT services company CodeBlue and the board that accompanied the plastic limbs included a CodeBlue branded note that asked: “Are you paying too much for your IT support?” along with instructions to get in touch with the company. According to CodeBlue’s Hamilton managing director Jason Trower, the campaign was a good way to introduce CodeBlue to local companies in Hamilton. “This was our first major campaign and the response was very positive. We have had a number of enquiries from companies wanting to know how CodeBlue can help them cut the cost of their IT support,” says Trower. Trower’s IT services provider Level10 joined CodeBlue last December and the team now operates out of the new CodeBlue Hamilton offices on Victoria Street. According to the managing director, the company is committed to the region: “our goal is to be the preeminent IT service provider for businesses in the Waikato region within five years.” “We’re looking to become partners of our customers, not suppliers. As a partner we can offer the most value,” adds Trower.
“There are very few IT services companies in the region with the capability to deliver the kind of unique, well-priced, highly-focused solutions that the 20-500 seat market needs. CodeBlue Hamilton is well placed to fill that gap,” adds Ian Funnell, CodeBlue’s national general manager.
