With the release of the BlackBerry 6 operating system, Research in Motion has added new features, in addition to delivering a solid enterprise platform.

During the past year, RIM has released the Torch 9800, BlackBerry Curve 3G, BlackBerry Pearl 3G and BlackBerry Storm 2 cellphones.

However, Research in Motion is facing increased competition from rival operating systems, such as Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android. According to Gartner, Google’s Android is likely to pass both iOS and BlackBerry in popularity by the end of this year. Ulrika Hedquist
