As more organisations adopt virtualisation to gain efficiency and flexibility benefits, security firms are ever more keen to point out the growing number of threats introduced as a result.

To address some of those, RSA says it has expanded its strategic alliance with VMware, aiming to improve control in the cloud. VMware and RSA have worked together to increase security within VMware vSphere 4, which is RSA’s first cloud operating system. Featuring a dashboard, the solution is designed to give organisations a full assessment of security and compliance across their virtual infrastructure.

RSA has also announced enhancements to its Data Loss Prevention suite of products. Ulrika Hedquist
