LG’s 2009 annual sales on a global basis jumped 12.5 percent from the previous year. The consumer electronics company made improvements in terms of its financial performance, generating noteworthy earnings, increasing its market share, and achieving noticeable results in efficient cash management.

It also made significant improvements in innovation, introducing a host of new products, such as its Infinia range of 3D TVs. LG has also developed the prototype of flexible screens – they continued to show mages even as the users bend or flex them. In Australia LG signed a deal with BigPond (the content arm of Telstra) to provide on-demand movies and TV shows direct to its latest range of televisions without the need for a set top-box.
