Cloud computing specialist Verizon Communications reported continued strong cash flow growth in the second-quarter of 2010, improved margins for its wireless and Wireline businesses, plus improved revenue trends for sales to global business customers.

Verizon advocates an “everything-as-a-service” model, where cloud-based converged solutions are delivered through managed and professional services via the company’s global internet protocol network. It has two network-based business units: Verizon Wireless, operator of Wireline, America’s wireless network (including Verizon Telecom), and Verizon Business, serving medium and large businesses and government customers.
