Fujitsu, the world’s third-largest IT services provider, is present in 70 countries and is ranked 138 on Fortune’s Global 500 list. The company recently promoted its environmental credentials with the establishment of its ‘Green Policy 2020’, which sets forth the role and direction of the Fujitsu Group in contributing to solutions for the world’s environmental problems. The policy aims to bring about a prosperous, low-carbon society through environmental innovations, with the company aiming to contribute to a reduction of approximately 30 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions a year in Japan alone by 2020. As well as making friends with the planet, Fujitsu has also been busily forging alliances with fellow IT providers, most notably Microsoft. Stuart Finlayson
