Singapore-based Aculearn is a rich media software specialist that started out in 2001. Since then the firm has made strong inroads into the education and telecommunications verticals in the region.
The company‘s distributed architecture for its software can be scaled up to tens of thousands of users easily. Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University has adopted Aculearn’s content creation and editing tools for its e-learning initiatives.
The school said Aculearn’s systems were chosen for their ease of use. The talking head-synchronised format in the online lecture programmes help make the lessons a livelier affair.
At the National Healthcare Group, comprising of 16 hospitals in Singapore, doctors and nurses create full audio and video training together with presentation materials. Training and presentation materials can immediately be made available over the web for access.
In addition, Agilent Technologies and Visa, which have geographically dispersed staff, are using Aculearn’s systems for their video-based learning programmes.
In recent months, Aculearn has branched into neighbouring countries like Vietnam and Thailand. The government agencies there have implemented Aculearn’s collaboration tools for their meetings.
