In April, the NEC Group welcomed a new president, Nobuhiro Endo, who outlined that NEC would be aggressively pursuing the expansion of its cloud computing services in emerging markets. A couple of months before that, it was announced that Telefonica had selected NEC as a strategic partner to promote cloud computing in Latin America. The greatest management challenge for the NEC Group is to achieve growth on a global scale through ‘c&c’ (computers and communications) cloud strategies that maximise the use of company assets. ICT vendors around the world are clamouring to provide new solutions that integrate IT and networks. The NEC Group is a long time provider of these unified solutions and so is poised to capitalise on its established strengths in the upcoming business era. Stuart Finlayson
