Blue Wing Honda, the official New Zealand importer of Honda road motorcycles, has implemented Lawson for Distribution, a software especially designed for distribution companies. Lawson Software, the creators of Lawson for Distribution, said that Blue Wing Honda is the first customer in the Australia and New Zealand region to finish the implementation of the latest release of the software.
Blue Wing Honda is headquartered in Greenlane, Auckland, and manages the distribution, marketing and sales of tens of thousands of whole goods and parts lines across multiple product categories.
“The new Lawson M3 10.1 solution has replaced a 10-year-old legacy system and will allow us to better manage the distribution of goods to customers through our dealer network,” said Bob Boniface, chief executive officer of Caspex Corporation, the parent company of Blue Wing Honda.
According to David Hope, general manager and regional managing director of Lawson Asia Pacific & Japan, “this has cemented [Blue Wing Honda’s] place as the strategic channel for the distribution of Honda motorcycles and ATVs in the New Zealand market and will help pave the way for future growth.”
The Lawson solution was implemented on an IBM Power 6 System i, with Integral Technology Group providing technology infrastructure support.
