David Webster will assume the top role for EMC South East Asia (SEA) while continuing to lead the EMC business in ANZ. In this extended role Webster, who will move on from his current role as ANZ president, will drive growth and operational performance across both the ANZ and SEA regions.
Each of the regions will continue to have its own management team, though under a common direction and executive leadership from Webster.
He has worked across the region for the past 20 years, including an executive role based in Singapore for Silicon Graphics, covering the Southeast Asian region.
In another development, business software implementation specialist Asparona has appointed former Oracle New Zealand applications sales director Callum Ross to lead its local sales team.
For the past eight years Ross has led the Oracle New Zealand applications team, having also spent more than seven years with Oracle in the UK, where he was responsible for key airline industry accounts including British Airways, Emirates, Virgin Airlines and the British Airport Authority.
“I am really excited to join a local company with the ability to go out there and be flexible and truly make a difference,” says Ross. “After 20 years with Oracle it was time for a change – and I wanted that change to be about being part of a local business with solid growth potential and highly experienced local consultants.”
Asparona is an Oracle Platinum Partner and employs 75 staff in its offices in Auckland, Wellington and Sydney.
