Freightways contines to invest in the business and its underlying systems to ensure the company remains in a strong position as the economy improves.

Publicly listed (NZX), express package delivery service and information management provider Freightways New Zealand is a leading supplier of express package services throughout New Zealand. The company is headquartered in Auckland and is represented in every major city and town across the country’s

two islands.

Freightways operates in the domestic express package, business mail and information management markets, and is continuing to develop its presence in the Australian information management market, says Richard Mitchell-Lowe, general manager information technology.

Freightways IT infrastructure is based on the latest Microsoft, Hewlett Packard and Oracle products, with a shared IT infrastructure across the Freightways group and extensive use of mobile data solutions for its couriers. Telecom and Kaon Technologies provide networking products and services.

Mitchell-Lowe says Freightways does not disclose current or planned IT projects, but is continuing to invest in the business and its underlying systems to ensure the company remains in a strong position as the economy improves with projects closely aligned on customer needs, service quality and operating efficiency.
