Fronde was founded in 1992 by David Irving and Chris Comber and has since then expanded to over 170 staff in Wellington and Auckland. The company remains a locally-owned software house that designs, builds and integrates business systems and services with established methodologies.
As an IT services company, Fronde is best known for delivering software solutions to major blue-chip organisations in the government, utilities and finance sectors, using Agile development methods to encourage project success.
Fronde constructed and supports the largest non-bank lending system in the country and also integrated New Zealand’s wholesale electricity market system, as well as creating the country’s most successful mobile commerce service. It has also made forays into the banking payments area.
Highlights of the past year include becoming Google’s preferred NZ Enterprise Partner, the Transpower Energy Market System going live and winning the Microsoft 2009 Community Impact Solution award with the MOE Enrolment Management System.
