Christchurch-based Jade Software Corporation’s history spans 30 years. It was founded by Sir Gil Simpson and the LINC application. Today, Jade Software’s products help move freight trains in Europe, manage the world’s ports, mitigate risk in financial solutions and are used by police forces globally.

The company is also active in the high performance database market and says it has seen plenty of interest in its object-oriented DBMS.

Logistics and terminal management applications continue to do well, and the company won a Consensus Award this year for innovative software, with its Investigator product. A new CEO was also installed at the company, Craig Richardson, whose former role was as CFO of Coca-Cola Amatil New Zealand and Fiji.

Jade also recently announced the extension of its strategic partnership with CMC in India, a subsidiary of Tata Consulting Services. In the last quarter CMC has launched Jade Methodware and Investigator into the Indian market.
