When once a company could stand tall as the dominant provider of one part of an overall service, analysts now argue the only future for IT is end-to-end service provision.
With that in mind, business service management software provider BMC has made a few significant alliances in different sectors this year.
The company has partnered with Cisco Systems in the development of that company’s new Unified Computing System. It has also been integrated into Dell’s OpenManage system and VMware’s vCenter.
It seems cloud computing is “the new black” for business service management, so BMC is integrating cloud into its overall approach. This September BMC announced a partnership with NetApp to deliver end-to-end cloud
infrastructure to its clients.
Any new services and products will focus on private cloud development and
hybrid IT infrastructure, using Amazon Web Services.
