Software AG celebrated 40 years of operation in May this year, having been founded in 1969 as Europe’s first software company.

It plans to grow through acquisition and recently acquired German business process modeling vendor IDS Scheer to solidify its position as the third largest enterprise integration software vendor in the world.

The deal increased Software AG’s service orientated architecture and business process management portfolio.
