Dell is ramping up its local retail programme by selling its Inspiron PC products in all 70 Dick Smith New Zealand stores. Earlier this month Dick Smith NZ country manager James Cunnold told Reseller News that the company was considering a partnership with Dell and said to "watch this space."
The deal follows an agreement between Dell and Dick Smith in Australia, signed in May, whereby Dell products were made available in 70 of its Australian stores.
Dick Smith customers will be able to buy Dell's Inspiron laptops, desktops and monitors.
Dell ANZ consumer sales and marketing general manager Evan Williams says the announcement gives local consumers the option to buy Dell products from a well-known retailer or at Dell’s online store.
“Whilst we continue to see growth in our online business in New Zealand, we recognise some people want to touch and feel our products first, and now they can.”
Dick Smith head of buying and merchandising Glenn O’Neill says the retailer is committed to providing customers the latest technology and leading brands in all categories.
“Dell’s products complement our PC and laptop range, enabling us to provide our customers with a wide range of solutions to meet their technology needs.”
