In 2008, civil engineering organisation Fulton Hogan integrated the ICT systems of new businesses acquisitions with Fulton Hogan systems and core business applications and systems including JDE, Maximo and a recently upgraded weighbridge system.

It also transitioned to a new ICT services provider in Gen-i and relocated its core datacentre to a Gen-i datacentre facility in Christchurch.

Jonathan Hooper is the new CIO for Fulton Hogan. He was unavailable for comment at the time the MIS 100 went to press, and this profile has been created using the best information available.

ICT objectives for 2008 included the piloting of additional modules of JDE for purchasing and billing, and the selection and implementation of transport management and HR systems. System interfaces were reviewed and application monitoring introduced. Fulton Hogan is also completing implementation of an Enterprise Architecture Framework involving planning around future growth needs.

With extensive forward work, Fulton Hogan continues to diversify and has a driving goal to cement its position as an industry leader.

According to a December 2008 story in the New Zealand Herald citing a report from consultants Pacifecon Construction, current work includes $13.3 million runway extensions at Rotorua Airport, $37 million highway resurfacing in Opotiki, Kawerau and Whakatane and it is part of an alliance involved in $166.3 million of Auckland motorway work for the NZ Transport Agency.
