Ovum has been awarded the Asia Pacific telecom analyst firm in ceremonies held yesterday in Singapore. Ovum, part of the Datamonitor Group, received the awards from Communications Day.
In a press statement, Grahame Lynch, director of CommsDay, said the CommsDay Asia Pacific awards are the only awards in the region that are directly voted by Asia Pacific telecom executives.
Ovum came out ahead of Gartner, the Economist Intelligence Group and Buddecomm. The CommsDay Award winners were voted by the 8000 readers of CommsDay's two subscription daily regional editions.
Ovum’s clients include Alcatel-Lucent, AT&T, BT, Cable & Wireless, Cisco Systems, Deutsche Telekom, Fujitsu, HP, IBM, Microsoft, Telstra and Vodafone.
