New ANZ chief for Sun Microsystems

Andrew Goodlace is now acting MD, replacing Duncan Bennet

Sun Microsystems has appointed Andrew Goodlace as acting managing director for Australia and New Zealand. Goodlace, who was most recently director of sales for ANZ, replaces Duncan Bennet who has resigned to pursue other interests, the company said.

Goodlace has been working in ICT for more than 20 years and has also held managing director roles with several IT companies prior to moving to Sun Microsystems.

Bennet said in a press statement he had spent 10 exciting and rewarding years at Sun. “I am extremely proud of the people I work with. The recent success and growth in Australia and New Zealand would not have been possible without their talent, energy and commitment. While this is a difficult economic environment the market has responded positively to the initiatives that are helping our customers get more out of their IT, whether it be energy savings, open storage or virtualisation.”
