Fairfax ICT executive joins Gartner

Linda Price will take over Mary Ann Maxwell’s role in February.

Linda Price, director of information technology and group human resources for John Fairfax Holdings, is leaving to join analyst firm Gartner as group vice president, Executive Programmes (ExP) in Asia Pacific. She is replacing
Mary Ann Maxwell, who is returning home to the US. Price joins Gartner with more than 20 years of IT experience in media, manufacturing and service organisations.

She is responsible for ICT strategy and organisational development in her current role at Fairfax. Price joined Fairfax as technology director at The Melbourne Age in 2000. In 2002, she was promoted to general manager of Fairfax IT, and in 2003 she became organisation development director of John Fairfax Holdings, reporting to the CEO.

Prior to working for Fairfax she was a programme director with Gartner in Australia, as well as having held senior ICT management positions with organisations including Bonlac Foods and Moore Business Systems. Price has also taught business computing at tertiary level and holds an MBA from Monash University.
