EDS appoints new ANZ chief

David Caspari to take over new post next month.

EDS has appointed David Caspari as its new head of operations in New Zealand and Australia. Caspari will assume the title of vice president, EDS ANZ, responsible for growth in core business areas of infrastructure services, business process outsourcing and applications solutions, according to an announcement by EDS.

The Harvard Business School alumnus will take the helm of EDS ANZ in November from his current post as vice president for sales in HP’s Technology Solutions Group (Asia-Pacific and Japan), which he held for two years.

Michael Coomer, senior vice president, Asia-Pacific and Japan, says the appointment comes at “a crucial time of realignment and integration of HP and EDS”, referring to the acquisition of EDS by HP in August.

Caspari’s appointment will allow former acting managing director, Neil Emerson, to return to his primary role as vice president, applications services, Asia-Pacific and Japan.
