Jade CEO joins University of Canterbury

Dr Rod Carr takes over as vice chancellor in February 2009.

Jade Software chairman the Hon Ruth Richardson has confirmed the appointment of the company’s chief executive, Dr Rod Carr, to the position of Vice-Chancellor at the University of Canterbury effective February 2009. Dr Carr joined Jade in July 2003 and has been responsible for the company’s turnaround, restoring it to profitability and subsequently growing the company. Over the past five years the company has increased its revenue from $32.2 million in the 12 month period to 30 June 2004 to $ 51 million for the 12 month period to 30 September 2008, the company said in a press statement.

“The Jade Group is now a much stronger entity as a result of Dr Carr’s leadership, with a solid capital base, and experiencing consistent growth across all its business units, says Richardson.
