PwC appoints new GM IT operations

Nicole Hughes brings 15 years experience in IT operations and project management to the role.

PwC has a new general manager IT operations, Nicole Hughes, who came from Microsoft where she was service management consultant.

Hughes, who reports to chief operating officer Peter Doyle, has 15 years experience in IT operations and project management.

She has worked across a number of industries including banking and finance, infrastructure, health and insurance.

“Nicole sees the effective use of IT as a key business enabler and a tool to support strategic organisational change,” says PwC.

She steps into the top ICT executive post that was previously held by John Deane, who left in December, to become acting group manager IT at The Comfort Group and is now business manager, retail and supply chain at Gen-i.

PwC is number 92 in the CIO100, the annual report on the top IT using organisations in New Zealand.

According to CIO100, the 26-member IS team manages a total of 2094 screens.
