Where were you educated? School of hard knocks and a short stint at AUT.
Where do you live? East Central Auckland.
What are your interests away from work? I enjoy watching most sport these days especially my kids who seem to be into everything.
What are you reading at the moment? The effective executive by Peter F. Drucker.
What is your favourite movie? Why? No country for old men, a Coen Brothers movie, they don't make bad movies. Stars Tommy Lee Jones and Woody Harrelson are both great actors.
What is the most memorable place you've been to? Most recently, Dubai. I loved the ski field at the shopping mall and the Whale shark swimming by a the Aquarium. It is just a very different place.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever received? Don't sweat the small stuff.
Professionally, who do you admire most? Steve Jobs, he is the king of the comebacks and an outright flawed genius.
How long have you been working in IT? Remember when Australia won the Americas cup? That gives you a hint...Put this way, very few had a PC on their desk at that time!
If you weren't working in IT, What would you be doing? Really can’t answer that as I have pretty much always have been working in IT.
What was your first job? Delivering the milk after school. In IT, it was as sales rep for Olympia office memory based typewriters.
What's the best thing about working with IT executives? The incredibly varied backgrounds they often come from – ex-Army, Police, professional sports, lawyers, accountants, engineers - the list goes on and on, which all makes working with them all the more interesting.
What is the worst? Nothing comes to mind, to be fair!!
What is your favourite networking situation? Sports event in a box at Eden park…any sport!!
