Movers and shakers: Wayne Broekhals, Averill Dickson and Peter Jameson

Plus: Jacques Cronjé of Hitachi Data Systems and Don McLean of Fronde.

Wayne Broekhals
is taking on the IS manager role at Arrow International in Christchurch, following nearly three years as group IT manager at Acland Holdings. The latter’s brands include Citta Design, Corso De Fiori and Compagnie de Provence.

Averill Dickson is now a senior associate at Simmonds Stewart law firm. Before this, she was a senior associate in the ICT team of Simpson Grierson. Dickson has extensive experience advising on the corporate and commercial aspects of technology businesses and transactions, from working in-house and in private practice. She was also the in-house legal counsel that took Endace through to listing on the London Stock Exchange.

Peter Jameson is now programme manager at Rexel. His recent roles include senior technical project manager at Somerset County Council in the United Kingdom, and senior project manager at NZ Transport Agency and Auckland Transport.

Jacques Cronjé is appointed by Hitachi Data Systems Corporation as territory manager for Auckland. He will be responsible for building and supporting the company’s growing customer base and partner ecosystem in the region.

Cronjé has more than 20 years experience in the IT sector, and specialises in cloud, disaster recovery, virtualisation and storage technologies. He joins HDS from Fujitsu. Prior to settling in New Zealand, Cronjé held positions with a number of top firms companies in the UK and South Africa, including Persetel, Barclays and Ernst & Young.

Fronde receives its first NetSuite APAC Solution Provider Partner of the Year award. New Zealand headquartered Fronde has been working with NetSuite since 2005, and has managed over 200 NetSuite implementations.

“It’s an exciting time for Fronde as we’re poised to grow our cloud-based ERP business in both Australia and New Zealand,” says Don McLean, country manager for Fronde Australia. “NetSuite’s solutions are an important part of our product offering, particularly given more and more businesses realise the benefits of cloud-based business management systems.”
