David Bullock has been appointed to ASB Bank’s executive leadership team in the newly-created role of executive general manager, technology and operations.
He joins ASB from IAG, where his most recent role was executive general manager, technology operations, risk and control. Prior to this, he was with Bank of New Zealand for nearly 13 years, and his roles included director - products, digital and technology. He also worked at Yahoo in the UK as sales planning manager.
ASB CEO Vittoria Shortt says David Bullock is a customer-focused leader with a values-centric style, underpinned by an outstanding big-picture way of thinking.
“It is evident from his career achievements that he places a huge emphasis on building a positive team culture. He is passionate about the important role that technology is playing in shaping the future of banking, and making sure we deliver the best outcomes for our customers,” says Shortt, in a statement.
Bullock says he is looking forward to using his broad skill set to help accelerate the financial progress of ASB customers.
“I am inspired by the desire and commitment of ASB to innovate at pace to achieve better outcomes for our customers. I’m looking forward to working with the team at ASB and our customers to achieve this.”
Bullock will be based at ASB’s North Wharf office in Auckland’s Wynyard Quarter.
