Website: www.asurequality.comFood safety and biosecurity services firm AsureQuality will further use information technology in 2012, to improve business intelligence (BI) and enterprise reporting, develop and enhance the information strategy for business users and customers. The company also plans to deliver increased collaboration and workflow capabilities through the recently introduced portal and control document repository project. Information technology is seen as a significant enabler to the food safety and biosecurity organisation, which has experienced significant growth since its inception in 2007, following the merger between ASURE New Zealand Limited and AgriQuality. Strategic acquisitions have supplemented its capabilities in both New Zealand and Australia. Key projects this year will leverage investments in social media, business intelligence, unified communications, CRM and virtualisation. Progress with the implementation of wireless, business continuity and mobility includes the business-wide upgrade to Windows 7, and replacement of the inhouse LIMS with a commercial product. AsureQuality provides biosecurity surveillance and response services to assist MAF Biosecurity New Zealand in protecting against exotic pest and disease incursions. Its 1700 experts located at over 100 sites — including New Zealand, Australia and Singapore — offer a broad range of quality assurance services to customers across the agri-food sector, in more than 40 countries worldwide.
