Anders Sorman-Nilsson

Global Futurist and Innovation Strategist

ANDERSRMAN-NILSSON (LLB / EMBA) is a global futurist and innovation strategist who helps leaders decode trends, decipher what’s next and turn provocative questions into proactive strategies.

With an average of 240 international travel days a year, Anders’ view is that the future and the now are converging in a city or start-up near you, giving the curious, the creative and the courageous a competitive and sustainable edge. At the same time, that same future contains fearsome forecasts for futurephobes.

This Swedish-Australian futurist has shared stage with Hillary Clinton, Nobel Laureates, and European and Australian heads of state. He is an active member of TEDGlobal, has keynoted at TEDx in the United States and Australia, was nominated to the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leaders in 2015, and was the keynote speaker at the G20’s Y20 Summit in Australia.

His thought leadership has been featured in international media like Monocle, Business Insider, Sky News Business, Financial Review, CIO Magazine and Boss. He is the author of the books Digilogue: how to win the digital minds and analogue hearts of tomorrow’s customers and Thinque Funky: Upgrade Your Thinking, and his upcoming book Seamless: the futurephile’s guide to leading digital
adaptation and human transformation is due for release by Wiley in October 2016.

Divina Paredes is the editor of CIO New Zealand and, the premium resource for information and communications technology (ICT) executives and members of the CXO suite. She also organises and moderates CIO community events such as the CIO roundtable discussions and CIO leaders’ luncheons.

Dominic Quin

Dominic has extensive leadership roles in Marketing, Innovation, Digital and Data Analytics. Dominic started his career in UK and has worked in Australia and NZ over the last 25 years working in various industries including packaged goods, retail and leisure & entertainment.

Dominic is currently heading up digital transformation for Fonterra covering digital and data strategies, digital technology ecosystem and capability development and running the centres of excellence – digital, data analytics and agile. Prior to this Dominic was the Director Global Marketing Services – delivering Fonterra’s unified ‘way of marketing’, strategic insights & intelligence, digital customer experiences and shopper and retail optimisation.

Nadia Cameron

Publisher and Editor, CMO, & Associate Editor, CIO Magazine

Nadia is a respected and award-winning industry Journalist and Editor with 17 years’ experience. Throughout her career, she has maintained a focus on technology and business, working for titles such as CIO, Computerworld, PC World, Australian Reseller News (ARN), Exhibition News, Australian Telecom, Business Asia, and now CMO.

From 2010 to 2012, Nadia was the Managing Editor of several national and global business publications for the UK live events industry, and created FaceTime Magazine in association with the Event Industry Alliance for event marketers. Nadia has also been responsible for launching and transforming key industry events, such as the annual ARN Industry Awards and Exhibition News Awards.

Nadia rejoined IDG Australia in 2013 to develop and launch the CMO brand as a dedicated title for the modern marketing chief. The brand is represented via an online offering, print magazine and growing portfolio of events.
In 2015, CMO launched the CMO50 program, now recognised as the country’s premiere list for modern marketing excellence and has grown to include a highly prestigious annual event.
Today, Nadia sits at the helm of CMO as Publisher and Editor and is also Associate Editor of CIO.

Kevin Angland

General Manager Digital Services, Mercury

Kevin is responsible for the strategic direction, leadership and management of all customer operations, digital and technology capability at Mercury. He is at the heart of Mercury’s focus on customer-lead innovation, delivering value to customers through data and digital platforms. Kevin has a breadth of experience in digital transformation and delivering some of New Zealand’s biggest technology projects. He was NZ CIO of the Year in 2014, and held senior leadership positions with New Zealand’s largest insurer IAG over the past decade prior to joining Mercury in 2016.

Liz Coulter

Head of TS4B (Tech Solutions for Business) and former, Director of the IT services at the University of Auckland

Liz Coulter is the head of TS4B (Tech Solutions for Business) and former, Director of the IT services at the University of Auckland. She is active in programmes promoting diversity in the technology sector, and launched the Women in IT conference at the University of Auckland.

She joined the University of Auckland from the University of Queensland, where she was Associate Director, Strategy Planning and Client Relations, ITS.

“I grew up on Moore’s law…Technology has been there through my life,” says Coulter, whose father, Alan Coulter, is known as one of the pioneers of the Australian IT industry.

Lena Jenkins

Customer Transformation Delivery Manager, Spark NZ

Lena Jenkins has been leading digital transformation at Spark NZ for the last 5 years. After initially leading the programme to implement Spark’s new digital ecosystem, she took on a broader business change focus and now leads the Digitisation Portfolio, which has been established to transform digital customer experience and encourage customers to use digital channels, reducing calls in the call centre. Lena also heads up the Software Delivery Team, which partners with Spark’s other brands (e.g. Skinny, Bigpipe, Morepork, IoT) to deliver digital customer experiences.

With 15 years’ experience in both business change and IT delivery, Lena has a strong ability to understand technology and translate for business audiences. She has a reputation for translating strategy into execution plans and setting up cross-functional teams to deliver with a strong customer focus.
