An international IT company in Melbourne are looking for a Practice Manager to join their Security Division on a permanent basis.
An international IT company in Melbourne are looking for a Practice Manager to join their Pre-sales Security Division on a permanent basis.
The Practice Manager is responsible for the success and financial performance of the Security Practice in Victoria. Working with Senior management, they will set the strategy for the Security Division and will then implement this plan in conjunction with the local management team.
Role & Responsibilities
Work closely with a variety of internal stakeholders to assist with the development, enablement and execution of the Security and related practice strategy. They will assist with the creation of the strategy for their practice that will enable continuous integration and continuous delivery. These individuals ensure that the operational and business plans are aligned to the overall strategy and support the execution of this, providing leadership and guidance to assist the team. They align practice specific KPI metrics and reporting across all relevant project management bodies.
The role involves responsibility for Business development and new business pipeline ownership and conversion. Key strategies critical to the success of the business in the division. Working with sales to develop sales strategies, account planning and client relationships. Line Management responsibilities including financial contribution, staff satisfaction, intellectual property generation and ongoing strategy growth.
The main responsibilities include communicating the practice strategy within the division. Ensure strategic and operational alignment with the national objectives of the Security Practice. Work closely with the Field Services Manager to Implement the practice strategy within the division and jointly manage Technical Consultants. Responsible for the achievement of the divisions financial targets for the Business Unit Provide input and leadership in identifying, defining and architecting client centric solutions. Manage local vendor relationships in conjunction with the National Security Manager.
Key Skills and Attributes
Previous experience of leading your own practice or running your own consultancy
Extensive knowledge of Pre and Post sales
Experience of Security background with strong technical knowledge and general understanding of other technical areas.
Extensive team leadership and people management experience.
Proven experience of high level stakeholder engagements.
Substantial experience in a services environment within the area of security.
Experience in mapping business needs to technology solutions.
An understanding of consulting methodologies.
