We are currently looking for a Portfolio and Governance Analyst for an exciting permanent role within the financial services industry.

We are currently looking for a Portfolio and Governance Analyst for an exciting permanent role within the financial services industry.

To be successful in this role, you will have the below skills and experience:

  • Prior portfolio/ project delivery experience, in a project management, governance or PMO role within a fast paced, busy working environment.
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of portfolio, program and project management (e.g. Agile practices).
  • Experience with project management systems, tools and processes and how these are practically used in a PMO or Project environment.
  • PMO and Project management certifications, preferably Prince2, P30, MSP
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Power Point drafting and presentation skills
  • Strong Reporting, writing, BI & Data Analysis skills
  • Experience working in financial services sector or general consulting experience
  • Good interpersonal, executive written and oral communication skills with and strong ability to lead and influence stakeholders across different levels.


Your responsibilities will include:
  • Prepare investment committee reporting packs.
  • Data analysis and provision of an aggregated view of all initiatives within the portfolio.
  • Track and maintain portfolio execution health and outcomes flagging variances to baseline portfolio: benefits, cost, dependencies and risk positions.
  • Portfolio financial reporting and analysis.
  • Review investment submissions for completeness including liaison with relevant initiatives owners to close gaps.
  • Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders to ensure initiatives are aligned with the Customer Investment Slate framework and submission quality meets CDC's standards.
  • Support the CDC Secretariat to manage CDC meeting logistics and oversee implementation of decisions made for the portfolio by CDC and other Governance forums.
  • Update and maintenance of portfolio management tools (e.g. PPM, SharePoint).
  • Drive continuous improvement in Customer Investment Slate processes and Portfolio Governance team capabilities.
  • Proactively manage risk; meet all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to Process and Procedures pertinent to role; and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified.
