Hyland announces significant growth in ANZ three years after starting out

Hyland, a leading provider of software solutions for managing content, processes and cases, has benchmarked significant growth in ANZ just three years after opening a regional office in Sydney, with staff numbers growing tenfold in that time. Hyland’s ANZ team attributes its success to the evolution of the company into a content services provider, rather than pure document management.

From a team of three people in 2014, Hyland has increased in scope currently employing a staff of 30-plus in Australia. Staff include specialist teams supporting the insurance and healthcare industries, as well as technical support, sales and solutions architects. Additionally, Hyland also has staff in NSW, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.

The company opened up a new office in Melbourne in 2016, expanding its footprint in Victoria. The team in Victoria has grown in the last year, and includes healthcare services professionals, as well as technical support for all of Hyland’s ANZ customers and industry-specific solutions.

Jamie Atherton, country manager for ANZ at Hyland, said of the growth: “Our position in the market has risen dramatically, based on our global credentials and a decision to evolve from being a document management vendor into a holistic provider of content services soltuions. Our growth reflects the strong adoption of cloud-based solutions in the ANZ landscape, and the requirement for vendors such as us to provide a full spectrum of virtual applications and solutions.”

Hyland has entered Q4 strongly in ANZ, after finalising several new partnerships including Deliveri Solutions, Quantum Business Consulting and Filestream over the past few months, as well as significant customer deployments including iCare, the Mater Group and Incitec Pivot.

The company expects to enter 2018 on an equally strong footing:

“Our results for 2017 have been very strong, and have given us a great foundation to work from moving forward. We are certainly looking for even bigger growth in 2018,” concludes Atherton.

Growth has come from a variety of sectors, with particularly strong results for Hyland in insurance, healthcare and construction, achieving the following growth since 2014:

- 507 percent compound annual growth within its insurance sales, and 184 percent compound annual growth within its healthcare sales

- 52 percent increase within manufacturing and construction billings
